From a recent estate sale here in the Dallas area, here’s an antique plant stand with a beautifully modeled art nouveau lady as the central pillar of the stand. The figure has here arms raised behind her head and she has a beautiful art nouveau hairstyle. She is standing above a huge clam shell like in the Birth of Venus painting by Botticelli. The back base is of a swirling octopus which is very interesting. The stand top looks like a type of lily pad with leaves surrounding the exterior. The metal stand appears to have an old repaint done in gold. Some of the metal is showing through and it is a white smelt type metal. The weight is about 9 pounds before packing materials. Please review pictures for paint condition details. The top of the stand (the small round lily pad) comes off so the stand can be straightened so it doesn’t lean.
