Mid-Century – Josef Hoffmann Style Black Metal Plant / Umbrella Stand. It is 5 sided and measures 14-1/4″ at the widest point to point and 13-3/8″ flat side to point and stands 29-1/2 tall. Inside there is a shelf that sits 9-3/8 below the top making this perfect to use as a plant stand. There are many options to consider. Both ends are the same so this could be set the other way, with the shelf on the lower end sitting 19-7/8 below the top, making this a useful umbrella stand. We can find no markings on this but Hoffmann pieces by Bieffeplast had paper labels which of course could be easily lost over time – who knows. Very heavy, there are no dings, only small slight areas of wear to the finish as can be seen in the photos. Outstanding form, very solid, this displays beautifully!
