Item: Direct from a local vintage estate we are presenting for sale a large vintage wire plant stand done in the form of a deer with antlers. Circa’50s /’60s. Materials: Wire, Black Paint. We are uncertain as to the maker – it is not signed anywhere. 20.75″ tall (measured to the top of the antlers) x 27.75″ long (from the front of the face to the rear of the tail) x 8.5 wide (measured from side to side). The opening is approx. 14.5″ long x 8.5″ wide x 6 deep. Condition: Very good condition. No chips, cracks, breaks, bends, repairs, etc. There is scattered black paint loss throughout – nothing overly distracting, but we are mentioning it for accuracy. If desired, it can easily be touched-up or repainted. We chose to keep it in the condition in which it was acquired. Displays well and functions as one would expect. Please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. Mid century Plant Stand. The main triangular table is made of wood and finished with a patterned black Formica and a brass coloured plastic rim with a black stripe. The table has three wooden feet placed at a slight angle with the tips painted gold. There is a central wooden stem and two curved stems which bears three smaller platforms each made of wood with patterned red, green. And cream Formica tops. The Plant Stand is in very good condition. It presents with a few age-related wear marks and chips to the varnish at the bottom of the stems with marks on the main platform at this intersection (please see pictures). However, these do not interfere with the overall look of the piece and the Plant Stand is structurally sound. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects. Length of the main table: 43cm/14.5. Width of the main table: 31cm/12.1. Length of smaller platforms: 22cm/8.7. Width of smaller platforms. Approximate Weight packed: 7kg.
