It is from India, and likely made when India was ruled by Great Britain, which was between 1858 and 1947. I would guess sometime towards the end of British rule of indian. The design looks very British, with several pub scenes. The same design is on all sides of the stand. The feet on the bottom of the stand look like talons from a large bird figure. The metal has a great aged dark patina, and still in very nice condition. 42 1/2 inch tall. The display top on the pedestal measures approx. 10 1/4 inch square. At the bottom feet, to measures approx. It is pretty heavy at the bottom, so it will not tip easily. It is an exotic handsome display piece, surely a unique find. You are purchasing a very unique vintage / antique metalware folding plant stand. Appears to be made from cast, it has 2 horse heads at the top of each tier along with a swinging monkey on each decorative panel. The rope may or may not be original to the piece, but is was certainly put in place securely with metal ties, which are now rusty. Estate found, patina is original, we have not tried to clean the piece. Paint color is a very light aqua, greenish pastel. Measures 27″ tall and each section is 9″ without the hinges. Rubber feet caps are original. Folds and opens easily. A one of a kind piece that could be used for plants, decor, serving. Overall condition is unique, rare, very good, excellent. May need a bit of light clean up in it’s new home. Weighs just under 7 lbs. We pack with TLC. Heart-shaped main table is made of. Plywood with a black Formica top with gold coloured aluminium rim with black stripe. The table has three removable wooden feet with brass dips placed at a slight angle. There is a wooden stem which bears three smaller platforms with gold coloured aluminium rims with black stripes. Each of these are made of plywood with green, yellow and red Formica. The Plant Stand is in very. Good / good condition with minor age related wear. There is a crack in the yellow Formica (please see picture). Wear and tear to the black main table. Some marks to the gold aluminium rims. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects. Height: 88cm / 34.7. These usually come in a chrome finish, with a stainless steel bowl but these bronze finished plant stands are rare and harder to find.
