Arched Top Wicker Planter c1920s. I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa 1920s – 30s True Vintage Arched Top Wicker Planter. Estate fresh and As Found. Great Looking and in Excellent Condition. Arched type wicker planters are much harder to find than the normal simple examples. Its also a bit smaller in size then what you normally see. This is the first time that I have seen an old arched top wicker planter in this size. It measures approx 29″ wide , approx 12-1/2″ deep, and approx 67 tall – weighs approx 18 lbs total weight with the planter box. The planter box is metal , has handles which makes it nice to put in and take out. It measures approx 25-1/2″ long , 9-1/2″ deep, and 7-1/2 tall. The elderly woman that owned this strung a plastic floral decoration on the arched top and also wired on 2 ceramic wall type vases. I will leave on the floral decoration but will not include the little vases nor the bottom board. The floral decoration could easily be removed. I thought it looked nice and left it on. When I got it , she also had a board to fit across the bottom stretchers but I will not include that unless you want it. The planter is strong & sturdy and comes with the original removable galvanized metal planter box. Has some age and character wear but nothing significant. Wear is very light, some general wear or loss to the finish – overall the finish is very nice. A few minor breaks or imperfections to the reed but nothing significant. I have seen hundreds and hundreds of old wicker planters over the years and this one is much better shape than you would normally find. If you live close enough to drive to my location and pick it up yourself or have someone else do it, that is fine with me. If you live in Chicago, I could meet you in Milwaukee, but there would be a mileage charge and it would have to be on a day that works for me. Just something to consider if you fall in love with the planter and live within a 150 – 200 mile radius. Because of the odd size, I would need to special order a box for the packaging. The planter is strong and sturdy and I will order a double wall box to help protect it when it in transit. UPON RECEIVING THE ITEM – ONLY THROW OUT THE BOX AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM AND ARE HAPPY THAT THERE ARE NO DAMAGES. SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING , YOU WOULD NEED PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND PICS OF THE DAMAGED ITEM. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE. I PACKAGE TO THE VERY BEST OF MY ABILITIES BUT SOMETIMES THINGS HAPPEN THAT ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL.
